Before- and after-school care programs are available at District 15’s schools. These programs are operated independently of the school district by the respective park districts or organizations. Visit their websites for general information, pricing, enrollment, and FAQs.  

• Hoffman Estates Park District STAR Program offers before- and after-school care for students who attend Frank C. Whiteley.  
• Palatine Park District C.A.R.E. Program offers before- and after-school care for students who attend Gray M Sanborn, Jane Addams, Lake Louise, Lincoln, Marion Jordan, Stuart R. Paddock, Virginia Lake, and Winston Campus Elementary. 
• Rolling Meadows Park District R.E.C. Program offers before- and after-school care for students who attend Central Road and Kimball Hill.
• Right At School Program offers an additional after-school care option at Hunting Ridge, Pleasant Hill, and Willow Bend. 

There are several private community care providers in District 15 boundaries that offer before- and/or after-school care. Click here for information about daycare center transportation to/from school.

LEARN15 - Family Education Opportunities

LEARN15 - Family Education is a series of learning opportunities for parents to engage with—many delivered in-person, livestreamed, and available on demand. 

Apply for the 2024 Summer EBT Card

2024 Summer EBT (electronic benefit transfer) card provides families with a monthly grocery benefit to feed their children for three summer months (June, July, and August) when children are not receiving free or reduced-price meals at school.

In the summer of 2024, families will receive a one-time benefit of $120 for the summer for each eligible child. Benefits are distributed on an electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card and can be used at authorized retail stores.

To qualify: Children must be eligible for free or reduced-priced school meals, in other words they must reside in a household that has total household income at or below 185% of the federal poverty level.

Clients may shop one time per week, no appointment necessary. Serving the northwest suburbs.

Palatine Assisting Through Hope

PATH is an organization dedicated to empowering people in need. This mission is carried out by providing food, clothing, and other basic needs for families in crisis. A variety of programs for underprivileged children are also supported. PATH's ultimate goal is to transform lives by connecting those who need them with vital community resources in the Greater Palatine Area.

Partners for Our Communities (POC) Clothing Closet

In 2022, the POC took over the Clothing Closet from PATH (Palatine Assisting Through Hope) at the Community Resource Center. The Clothing Closet offers a boutique shopping experience for individuals in need of coats, boots, gloves, hats, children and adult clothing. To make an appointment, call the Community Resource Center at 847-776-9500 or email poccloset@gmail.com. The Clothing Closet is located in the Community Resource Center, 1585 N. Rand Road, Palatine.

Palatine Township Outreach Department

Outreach programs are a vital community service provided by the Palatine Township.

The following programs are coordinated and administered to help families and individuals who are experiencing financial hardship:

The Palatine Outreach Department works with the Palatine Township General Assistance office, local churches, and other social service agencies in our area to identify needs within our community. Eligible recipients must live within the Palatine Township boundaries.

NSSEO - Parent Education Resource Center

Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization is a special education collective school district operating in Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect, and Palatine. NSSEO serves students through programs designed through a person-centered approach to address a range of intense, significant needs as well as providing services and support to students and staff in member districts, ranging from itinerant student services to embedded coaching, technical supports, professional learning and monthly parent training across the eight member districts. NSSEO is driven by the critical focus on the future and the career/college/ life plans of students.

NSSEO includes six elementary districts that include Community Consolidated School District 21, Prospect Heights School District 23, Arlington Heights School District 25, River Trails School District 26, Mount Prospect School District 57, Community Consolidated District 59, and the two high school districts, Township High School District 211 and Township High School District 214. NSSEO is governed by a Board of District Board Members selected by each of the respective district boards to serve on the NSSEO Governing Board.

SPARK is sub-committee of a Northwest Suburban Council of PTA/PTSA. SPARK is proud to serve children with disabilities in Community Consolidated School District 15 and beyond.
